Have you ever wondered what Perth looked like in the late 1950's through to the late 1960's? Well your wondering can stop as you are now able to view Western Australia in the past from ( no, not quite through a time travel device) but through the wesbite 'Locate' which allows you to view WA like you have never viewed it before!

Locate is a new way to view Western Australia’s location based information. You can view a wealth of information either as a 2D map in your browser or 3D utilising Google Earth. Not only can you see a map of WA, you can overlay Landgate’s aerial photography and property information. There are many other layers such as roads, public transport routes, historical maps, census data, schools, health facilities, and this is just the start. Over the coming months more and more data will be included.

Locate has incorporated information from many government sources so you know the information you are seeing is all WA’s data.

Take a peak back into the past, you will be suprised how much as changed as the examples below will showcase to you:

Before-Perth Airport: Approx. 1965

Perth Airport: 2014
